Pokémon: Red, White and Blue is “An Unofficial Peta Parody” game and the sequel to the highly successful Pokémon: Black and Blue game.  In it, you must battle twisted versions of classic McDonald’s characters to free your Pokémon from becoming the newest additions to their menu!

Emo Dad Episode 05!

Emo Dad is a 5-part animated series playing on YouTube. In the fifth and final episode, we discover that Emo Dad’s plan to make Chris give up being “emo” has worked! Unfortunately, the good feelings quickly subside when Chris’s Mom returns with a surprise guest!

Golden Records Website!

2A! and Verse Music Group launch a new interactive website for Golden Records!

Through beautifully orchestrated music and the use of A-list talent, Golden Records created a one of a kind sound, releasing songs and stories that entertained and educated children for decades. Now those timeless classics of the 50's and 60's are back, along with all new recordings re-imagined to include a new generation of children and parents.

2A! created the site and games in Flash and HTML. The characters are a mixture of the "classic" Golden Records album cover art and a newer, more modern style. Be sure to check out the site, play some games and listen to some truly timeless music!

Emo Dad is a 5-part animated series playing on YouTube. In the fourth episode, we find out that Emo Dad has recruited Chris's friends to join his garage band.  When Chris hears the band rehearsing, the lyrics seem awfully familiar to him!

Character Designs: Lightbulb Buddies

This week we thought we'd share some concept art we did for a project meant to help spread the word about being green. Below are some character designs and style frames, which are basically tests playing around with the various ways a screen shot of the final animation might look.

First up is a youthful take on the characters… The clean-up is relatively simple and clean, yet still quirky.




Next up is an older, aged-up take on the characters… These designs were meant to give the piece a more urban feel, so the brush strokes are loose and slightly dirty.

100 Spidey Sketches!

100 Spidey Poses on one page! Needless to say, this image is gonna' scroll.

A brief history... Spider-Man is my favorite comic book character. So I find myself sketching him a lot. Either in the morning to loosen up or later in the day if I've hit a creative bump in the road. I take a quick break and sketch a Spidey. Why? Because it makes me happy and lets my mind rest for a moment. Anyway, once I hit the 100 mark I thought it would be cool to share them all on a single sheet. So here it is!

Emo Dad Launches!

2A! goes “emo” in our second team-up with The Fine Brothers!

Emo Dad is a 5-part animated series that just launched on YouTube! The show follows a father, David, who has decided to embrace his son Chris's emo lifestyle. Unfortunately, David’s newfound "emo-ness" doesn't make life any easier for Chris, nor does it bode well for Chris’s popularity.

The series was created by Benny and Rafi Fine, and designed and animated by us!

Character Designs: Southside Shaolin's Lulu

As Tom mentioned in his previous Southside Shaolin post, here are some of the exploratory sketches we did while designing the main character, Lulu Lu.

As you can see, sometimes it takes quite a few passes trying a multitude of directions before we nail a final look that everyone is happy with. All in all, I'm very happy with where Lulu ended up!

Flu Season!

Yep, it's that time of year again... flu season. =(

Just thought I'd share some fun character sketches we recently did. They're for an educational animation we're working on about how the flu spreads.

Remember to cover your mouth when you sneeze or cough, and most importantly, keep your hands clean by washing them often.
