I often wonder what's going through my cat's head. As most cat's do, she insists on investigating even the slightest noise or movement. It'd probably be pretty comical to hear her inner monologue. This SweetIM animation reminds me of her.
I was going to take this opportunity to give my scathing dissertation about the profession of referees and modern sports.... but I decided against it. Here's a fun SweetIM ref animation in it's place.
Some people live and die by their morning coffee. I myself prefer a bottle of Mountain Dew and a donut, but as they say, different strokes for different folks. If I were to picture what a cup of coffee would be like if it were to come to life, I think this animation is pretty dead on. This peppy little guy cracks me up!
This week's SweetIM animation is titled "Birthday Surprise!" In it, we get our final visit from an old friend of past weeks. I don't want to ruin it for you, but if someone gave me this as a birthday present, I'd have to end our friendship. ;)
Something I've noticed as I get older is that if I'm not sitting up while I'm watching TV or a movie, chances are high that I'm going to fall asleep. I don't know what it is about TVs, but they're somehow soothing and almost hypnotic. I always find it easier to fall asleep with one on, even just in the background. This SweetIM animation is based on that.
Well, Spring has finally sprung! With all of this great weather, plenty of people are sure to be cruising around with the tops down on their sweet rides. For this week's SweetIM animation, a familiar face has decided to join in on the fun....
Ok, I have one more dog animation for you... for now. ;) Dogs are called "Man's Best Friend" for a reason. They can be some of the most obedient and agreeable animals on this planet. This animation goes along with that notion.
This week I'm back with more fun with dogs! What self-respecting dog doesn't enjoy a good game of fetch? You know, of course, that once you throw that ball you're going to be busy for awhile. A dog will play fetch for hours. That's the inspiration for this SweetIM animation.
With the warm weather finally back, I've been seeing a lot more people out and about running, jogging, and walking their dogs. Here's a SweetIM animation we recently did featuring a dog who's excited to get out for some exercise.
This week's SweetIM animation is one that's reserved for only the people you despise the most. Actually, it's all in good fun, but this one was definitely tough to pull off. Figuring out how to convincingly rip up someone's instant messenger window took some time, but I think it turned out well. Check out the video, and use it next time you need to release some of that pent up aggression!
We've all had jobs where we stare at the clock watching minutes pass by like hours, waiting for any kind of relief from the madness. This animation captures the excitement of that glorious point in the day where you get to drop everything at work and eat.
Since spring is right around the corner, I figured I’d better post our Christmas character designs before it was too late and all the snow had melted! :P
It was super fun to play with this batch of SweetIM designs, as Christmas characters are so widely portrayed. For example, I really enjoyed working on what the "sexy elf" would look like. As an artist I always like to see the sketches that helped form the final design, so I hope you enjoy seeing these as much as I enjoy sharing them!
This week's SweetIM is the first from our latest batch of animations. I had a lot of fun with this one. The follow through of his gnarly ponytail beard was particularly memorable, and I love his sour attitude. I can see myself using this one a lot. For example, it's perfect when someone asks for animation revisions. ;)
I hope everyone had a nice Valentine's Day. Love is still in air here at 2A!. The only problem is that it's coming from a rather unwelcome source. Check out the SweetIM video above to see what I mean, and watch out because this character may be popping up again in the future. ;)
